Our little Chicago rental, which we called home for almost a week while traipsing through the city for work, was older, smallish, and utterly charming. It took a while for me to get used to it, but one element I appreciated multiple times each day was a floor lamp perched next to the sofa. Not only did it wash the whole room in light, but it also complemented the Craftsman style of the house.
Our Mayfair Floor Lamp does the same–and in simple, handsome style. It sits on a round metal base thats finished in antique brass; the stem is a simple rubber wood cylinder in a mahogany finish. A white linen shade crowns the lamp.
